E2 - Matematică aplicată

Mulţi escroci, precum se ştie,
Au făcut la noi avere,
Aplicând cu dibăcie
Ridicarea la putere.

E1 - Privind

Privind fără încetare
Prostia omenească,
De lung urât cuprinsă,
Eternitatea cască!

Migrant Mother

Migrant Mother ( Florence Owens Thompson ) - Dorothea Lange, 1936

I saw and approached the hungry and desperate mother, as if drawn by a magnet. I do not remember how I explained my presence or my camera to her, but I do remember she asked me no questions. I made five exposures, working closer and closer form the same direction. I did not ask her name or her history. She told me her age, that she was thirty-two. She said that they had been living on frozen vegetables from the surrounding fields, and birds that the children killed. She had just sold the tires from her car to buy food. There she sat in that lean-to tent with her children huddled around her, and seemed to know that my pictures might help her, and so she helped me. There was a sort of equality about it.

I am an American

Powerful weapons

Generalul Nguyễn Ngọc executând un ofiţer Viet Cong în Saigon, 1 februarie 1968, Eddie Adams

Cu această fotografie Eddie Adams a câştigat premiul Pulitzer in 1969.

Adams a scris în Times:
"The general killed the Viet Cong; I killed the general with my camera. Still photographs are the most powerful weapon in the world. People believe them; but photographs do lie, even without manipulation. They are only half-truths. ... What the photograph didn't say was, 'What would you do if you were the general at that time and place on that hot day, and you caught the so-called bad guy after he blew away one, two or three American people?"

despre drepturi
